1961 Bell Brand
#32 Sandy Koufax

This issue featuring Dodgers Hall-of-Fame pitcher Sandy Koufax is the most valuable card within the 20-piece 1961 Bell Brand set. Distributed within packages of snack chips produced by Bell Brand (a Southern California food company), related sets were also issued in 1958, 1960, and 1962. All sets featured Dodgers players exclusively.

Sandy Koufax enjoyed an amazing 12-year career (1955-1966), all with the Dodgers. He was named to seven All Star teams, was a three-time Cy Young Award winner, a four-time World Series champion (winning the World Series MVP Award in two of the contests), pitched four no hitters, and fired one perfect game. During the final four years of his career, Koufax may have been the most dominant pitcher in the history of baseball.

The offered example has been graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. It features four squared corners, pure milk-white borders, a richly colored photo-image of Koufax, and a brilliant glossy finish. The card-back features sharp bold jet-black printing.
