This card featuring Hall-of-Fame slugger Jimmie Foxx is one of the key issues within the uniquely designed 60-card 1933 Tattoo Orbit set. One of several colorful trading card issues produced during the Depression-era, this set was distributed within 1-cent packages of Tattoo Gum, a product of the Orbit Gum Co. of Chicago.

One of the greatest players in the history of baseball, Foxx enjoyed a spectacular 20-year career (1925-1942 and 1944-1945). He hit a total of 534 home runs, 1,922 RBI’s, and finished his career with a .325 batting average. He was named to nine All Star teams, was a two-time World Series champion (1929-1930), a three-time American League MVP Award winner (1932, 1933 and 1938), and he won the coveted Triple Crown Award in 1935.

The offered example is tied for finest PSA graded. It features outstanding corner quality, bright vividly colored artwork, a sharply registered image of Foxx, and exceptionally clean surface and print quality. The back features sharply impressed lettering on top of a light cream-colored background.
